Why I Started Kamani Health
Kamani Health PLLC was founded with one goal: to make mental health care easier to navigate.
Too many people feel lost, unheard, or overwhelmed when trying to get support—for themselves or someone they love. The system can be confusing, and it's hard to know where to turn.
That's why I created a service focused entirely on advocacy and guidance. I don't provide therapy or prescriptions. I help you understand your options, communicate with providers, and take control of your mental health journey.
You don’t have to navigate this alone.
Meet the Founder:
Kamani Abarikwu
After years of seeing individuals and families struggle to navigate the mental health system, I founded Kamani Health PLLC to fill a critical gap—providing non-clinical support that puts clients first.
I am a board certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with a Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP). I acquired both of my degrees from Arizona State University and have experience working in mental health facilities across the valley.
My goal is simple: to help you feel confident, informed, and supported every step of the way.
What You Can Expect From Me
These are the principles that guide how I support you.
-
I believe you are the expert on your own life. My job is to listen first, understand your needs, and help you speak up for yourself. Whether you're talking to a provider, navigating a new diagnosis, or making decisions about your care, I make sure your voice is heard—loud and clear.
-
The mental health system can feel overwhelming. There's a lot of information, a lot of paperwork, and a lot of decisions to make. I break things down into simple, clear steps so you always know what's happening and what comes next. No jargon. No confusion. Just answers you can understand.
-
I meet you where you are—no matter where that is. There's no shame in asking for help, and there's no "right" way to start your mental health journey. I walk beside you as a partner, not ahead of you as an authority. Your goals are my goals, and I support you without judgment every step of the way.
-
Getting help shouldn't be hard. That's why we offer telehealth services throughout Arizona—so you can connect with us from your home, your office, or wherever feels comfortable. We keep our services flexible and our communication open, because support should fit into your life, not the other way around.
-
Knowledge is power. I believe that when you understand your options, your rights, and your resources, you can make confident decisions about your care. I take the time to teach, explain, and answer your questions—so you feel informed and in control.
-
Behind every question is a person. Behind every struggle is a story. I lead with compassion in everything I do, because mental health is personal. You're not just a client to me—you're a person who deserves kindness, respect, and real support.
